Audio/video connector for transmitting uncompressed digital streams. HDMI fully supports the PAL, NTSC or ATSC standard video source. Due to the three TMDS channels each capable of 3.4Gbps bandwidth, HDMI supports video resolutions from 480p to 1080p and even higher (1440p) and supports 48bit colour resolutions in the RGB or YCbCr colour space. Combine these capabilities with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. HDMI 1.3 is more than sufficient for UXGA (1600x1200).
