CPU a single chip called a microprocessor responsible for all events inside the computer.

 

The CPU is composed of a control unit, ALU, register, and clock unit. Control unit directs and controls activities of the internal and external devices

Clock Unit usually measured in megahertz (Mhz), the rate at which instructions are executed and synchronizes all the various computer components.
