Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) is a digital mobile communication technology used in 3G mobile digital radio networks.
Unlike GSM (TDMA) or FDMA, in CDMA every channel uses the full available spectrum of frequences using spread-spectrum techniques.
CDMA is the foundation for 3G services: the two dominant IMT-2000 standards, CDMA2000 and WCDMA, are based on CDMA. 2G CDMA standards are branded cdmaOne and include IS-95A and IS-95B.
