A Wi-Fi is a technology that is used to connect to the Internet or LAN within range of a wireless network WLAN.

WiFi is based on IEEE 802.11 set of standards carrying out WLAN communication in the 2.4, 3.6 and 5 GHz frequency bands. They are implemented by the IEEE LAN/MAN Standards Committee (IEEE 802).
